"We'll even put the Beatles in trouble." The mayor of Assemini, Mario Puddu, jokes about it. And it recalls the famous cover of Abbey Road (with the Fab Four crossing in a queue) to explain a singular story that had attracted the attention of numerous fellow citizens.

In Assemini two series of pedestrian crossings have been created, one close to the other. A decision that seemed inexplicable. In fact it was a mistake.

"The lines had been mistakenly drawn in the wrong place", states the mayor, who adds: "Thanks to this correction (which will take place in a very short time) we are also able to recover a few more parking spaces ".
