The unusually warm weather is also providing a brief respite in Sardinia. After the scorching temperatures of recent days, which offered a small (but intense) taste of summer, the anticyclone is weakening slightly today, giving way to cooler currents.

Cagliari will remain under a yellow alert until Sunday, May 31st. This is the pre-alert level established by the Ministry of Health's heatwave monitoring system. The yellow alert indicates weather conditions that, while not considered an emergency, may affect the health of the most vulnerable , such as the elderly and children.

In the rest of Italy, the situation remains similar in most of the 27 monitored cities: pre-alerts are also in place in Bolzano, Catania, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Turin, Venice, and Verona. Bari and Campobasso will be under a green warning, meaning no particular heat-related risk, throughout the weekend. Genoa, however, will move from yellow today to green over the next two days. The situation is expected to be different on Sunday in Bologna and Brescia, where an orange warning will be issued due to high temperatures and possible negative health effects.

The bulletins are prepared by the Department of Epidemiology of the Lazio Regional Health Service as part of the national heatwave prevention plan coordinated by the Ministry of Health.
