Two cars collided yesterday evening in Villasimius. Two injured people were rescued and taken to hospital.

The accident occurred at the intersection between via Pascoli and via Foscolo and involved a Fiat 500 and a Renault Captur. The first, owned by a woman resident in Quartu Sant'Elena, was driven by her 23-year-old son and on board was a 22-year-old girl resident in Settimo San Pietro. The other car was driven by a 19-year-old resident in Rogno (Bergamo), who was traveling with his brother who was one year younger and a 21-year-old resident in Villasimius.

According to an initial reconstruction, the Renault did not respect the right of way at the intersection. The occupants of the Fiat 500 were transported by ambulance to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari for checks and treatment, but their lives were not in danger.

The carabinieri of the Radiomobile of San Vito are on site to carry out the investigations.
