He repeatedly violated the ban on contact with his ex-partner, and for this reason the Cagliari Court imposed a more severe measure against him.

A 38-year-old worker, a resident of Villasimius and already known to law enforcement, was arrested by the Carabinieri and placed under house arrest.

The measure was executed today, pursuant to an order to increase the precautionary measure issued by the Judicial Authority.

The man was already involved in a complex legal case that began last December 5th, when he was arrested and taken to prison on serious charges: stalking, aggravated bodily harm, attempted robbery, and aggravated trespassing, all crimes against his ex-partner.

Shortly before the Christmas holidays, the 38-year-old was released and subjected to a less restrictive measure, a ban on approaching the victim and the places she frequented.

According to the findings of the Carabinieri of Villasimius – as reported in the press release – during constant surveillance, the man had repeatedly violated the imposed provisions, engaging in conduct deemed incompatible with the measure and potentially dangerous to the victim's safety.

The repeated violations, duly documented and reported to the Judicial Authority, led the Court to order the replacement of the restraining order with house arrest.

The 38-year-old was located at his home and, after the usual formalities, was placed under the new restrictive regime, remaining at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
