In Villagrande, the town that holds the world record for male longevity, centenarians are now a popular figure. Egidia Floreddu is the fourth to reach 100.
On Tuesday she was celebrated by the community during the mass celebrated in the parish.
The ceremony was attended, among others, by the mayor, Alessio Seoni, and the Carabinieri station staff. A widow for some time, she was married to Severino Cannas, also over a hundred years old.
