Villagrande, car hits and kills 5 calves. The driver was uninjured

Accident on state road 389, in the Villagrande area.

This morning an Audi, driven by a young prison police officer, hit and killed five calves and injured a cow that were along the road.

The impact was so violent that the car ended up off the road.

The driver of the car, a sedan, which was destroyed, was unharmed.

The animals were part of a herd left unattended.

Investigations underway into the dynamics of the accident. The Carabinieri of the Lanusei company are on site.
