A phone call from Villacidro during the night to the Carabinieri , with a woman in an evidently agitated state who was asking for help : her son , after having chased her armed with a wrench , was threatening to set fire to the house and the family car.

The military intervened immediately, and with the support of the Operations Unit and Radiomobile, they arrested the young man, a 30-year-old local man, for mistreatment.

The woman , a 59-year-old local, managed to call 112 after taking refuge in her bedroom, barricaded inside for protection , and after her son, in a violent outburst of anger, had damaged furniture and furnishings in the house, then attempted to break through the barrier improvised by his mother.

The carabinieri, once they intervened, managed to immobilize the 30-year-old and then provided assistance to the victim, who, although deeply shaken, refused medical attention, choosing to immediately file a complaint against her son.

The arrested man , after being taken to the barracks for the formal procedures, was transferred to prison in Uta , as ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cagliari. The validation hearing will be held in the next few days, while the investigations continue to reconstruct any previous episodes of domestic violence.
