Valledoria, 83-year-old man on trial for sexual assault on disabled person

A man was indicted yesterday in Sassari court for sexual assault on a disabled person . The alleged incidents allegedly occurred in 2024 in Valledoria and were allegedly committed by an 83-year-old non-Sardinian man .
The alleged victim was a man with severe mental and physical disabilities who was allegedly induced and forced to perform various sexual acts . The man then revealed the elderly man's behavior to some neighbors, who reported it to law enforcement.
The preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana ordered the indictment, the prosecutor was Angelo Beccu and the defense lawyer Francesco Sircana.
