Adiconsum Sardegna rejects the move of the vaccination service from Binaghi to the Piazza De Gasperi site, as planned by the Cagliari Local Health Authority. The objection concerns the implementation methods and timeframe: 10 days. The move was decided to allow for the opening of a community hospital on Via Is Guadazzonis.

"This decision appears hasty, lacks adequate safeguards, and potentially violates citizens' rights," the consumer association criticizes. "It is unacceptable that an essential healthcare service be reorganized in ways that fail to fully ensure safety, continuity, and accessibility."

According to Adiconsum, available information highlights serious concerns, including inadequate space (not sized to ensure dignified and safe conditions for users), poor accessibility (with obstacles for the elderly, vulnerable individuals, and families with children), and critical health and hygiene and organizational issues.

"These conditions, if confirmed, are not compatible with the minimum standards required for a service of this importance. A decision imposed in such a short timeframe will inevitably cause delays and inconvenience for thousands of citizens," but also potentially compromise the continuity of the service (the vaccination center is planned to be located on the fifth floor, making it impossible for elderly users and mothers with children and strollers to access the service in the event of a breakdown or power outage in the elevator system).

Adiconsum Sardegna considers it a serious matter to proceed without first ensuring fully suitable conditions. "If the critical issues are confirmed, it will be inevitable to determine specific responsibilities for the inconvenience, disruption, and risks to the population."

Hence the request from Giorgio Vargiu, president of the association: "Stop the transfer."
