More moments of fear due to a new attack at the Uta prison, where an inmate pulled a foot from the table, complete with nails, and hit three officers in the face and various parts of the body with the bluntest part of the object .

The officers were immediately rescued by their colleagues who with difficulty disarmed the man and were then accompanied to the hospital.

Michele Cireddu, general secretary of Uil Pa, tells the story of what happened in the Sardinian prison, and also asks for the prisoner to be removed from the institution .

«Unfortunately, the attacks against the agents in the Uta Institute continue without respite», says Cireddu, «the prisoners with psychiatric problems create an abnormal number of critical events and together with the troublemakers, who the department is “careful” to constantly send from the Peninsula, they represent a truly explosive mix».

The unionist also highlights how the institute "pays for the organization of work that often sees employment below safety levels in the detention sections, contrary to what happens in less operational roles" and hopes that "with the new Superintendent there will be a reversal of the trend, because if the Department demonstrates all its inadequacy, at a regional level we have the hope of a reconstruction starting from the ashes".
