The two hunting dogs rescued today in a remote area in the Corongiu Arrubiu area, in the municipality of Villassalto, slipped into a ravine approximately 40 meters deep.

Firefighters from the San Vito detachment responded immediately, with the support of SAF specialists, the Alpine and Fluvial Speleological Group, from the Cagliari Command's operations center. After locating the location indicated in the distress call, the rescuers abseiled down the ravine, managing to reach and rescue the animals.

The operation lasted a long time, made particularly complex by the difficult access to the area and the adverse weather conditions. Once brought to the surface, the dogs were transferred to a safe area and handed over to their owners. Fortunately, both were found to be in good condition.
