Two hikers in difficulty were rescued between Masua and Cala Domestica during a joint intervention carried out last night by the Fire Brigade and the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps.

The alarm went off when a request arrived at the 115 operations center: a man and a woman reported that they could not find the return path and were on the Miniere nel Blu path that leads from Masua to Cala Domestica.

Once located through the GPS coordinates of the mobile phone, they were reached and accompanied to where they had left the cars. An ambulance from the Iglesias Aid 118 was also sent to check their health conditions. Also present were the traffic police officers.
