Twenty sheep killed by lightning in Alà dei Sardi

Killed by lightning. The wave of bad weather that has hit many areas of Sardinia in recent days has not caused any victims among human beings. But many animals lost their lives.

About twenty sheep died after being struck by lightning that fell on a pasture at the foot of the mountain of Alà dei Sardi : perhaps they had sought shelter from the rain under a tree and the discharge reached them without leaving any escape.

A hundred sheep were swept away by the flood in Ittireddu three days ago. The same dramatic fate for other sheep during a storm 48 hours earlier, in Mores.
