Costa Toscana debuts in Cagliari . After the winter season in the Arabian Gulf, the flagship of the Costa Cruises fleet flying the Italian flag arrived in the port of the Sardinian capital for the first time , from where it will depart every Tuesday until November 21st .

The one-week Costa Toscana itinerary also includes stops in Naples, Civitavecchia/Rome, Genoa, Marseilles and Barcelona.

On six dates – 23 and 30 May, 13 June, 8 August, 12 September and 26 September – Costa Diadema will also dock in the port of Cagliari together with Costa Toscana: a double presence , therefore, which will further increase the number of tourists in the city .

The one-week Costa Diadema itinerary from Cagliari also includes stops in Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Marseille, Savona, Civitavecchia/Rome.

In total, adding the two ships, Costa calls in Cagliari will be 39, 20% more than in 2022.

Costa Toscana and Costa Diadema will take guests to discover Cagliari and its territory with a renewed offer of experiences on land . Among other activities, the walking tour through the streets of the city, to retrace the history of Cagliari from the Phoenician era to the Middle Ages, with food and wine tastings of typical products . Among the experiences proposed is a visit to the archaeological area of Santa Cristina , with the Mamuthones and the Issohadores.

Costa Toscana is a latest generation ship , capable of being powered by liquefied natural gas, the currently most advanced technology in the maritime sector for reducing emissions. Entered into service on 5 March 2022, it is a real itinerant "smart city".

In addition to the use of liquefied natural gas, the ship features a series of cutting-edge technological innovations designed to further reduce the environmental impact. The entire daily requirement of water is satisfied by transforming that of the sea through the use of desalination plants. Energy consumption is minimized thanks to an intelligent energy efficiency system. Furthermore, 100% separate collection and recycling of materials such as plastic, paper, glass and aluminum will be carried out on board.

Even the driftwood that furnishes the islands of the new Archipelago restaurant have been recovered thanks to the "Guardiani della Costa", the environmental education program for the protection of the Italian coast promoted by the Costa Crociere Foundation. For each dinner enjoyed in Archipelago, Costa Cruises will donate part of the proceeds to support the foundation's environmental and social projects.

For Costa Diadema it is a return to Cagliari , where the ship spent the winter. During this break she underwent major renovations, with the introduction of new experiences to make the holiday on board even more unique.
