Traffic at a standstill on state road 131, near Villagreca, due to a large truck that overturned on the side embankment of the road . The accident, fortunately without serious consequences for the driver of the heavy vehicle, occurred in the middle of the night, at 4:30.

The Carlo Felice is currently closed in the direction of Cagliari. Traffic has been diverted along the carriageway towards Sassari, which has been temporarily defined as two-way traffic . The vehicle has not yet been removed, despite the lengthy operations and the need to use a crane. For safe movement, temporary closures of the stretch of road towards Sassari will also be possible during the afternoon, to allow the crane to intervene . Traffic continues very slowly, even on alternative routes.

The refrigerated truck, owned by a transport company from northern Sardinia, loaded with fruit and vegetables , for reasons that are being investigated by the Sanluri Highway Police, who intervened on site together with the firefighters, left the road , invading the side ditch and then ending up in a slope , overturning dangerously.

The accident, which occurred at kilometer 29 of the 131 in the direction of Cagliari , caused, since early morning, slowdowns and kilometer-long queues of cars . Hundreds of motorists remained stuck in traffic for a long time.

For many, the choice, suggested by navigators, to exit at Serrenti and take the road to Serramanna and from there to Nuraminis to get back on the 131, was not a happy one . For them, in front of the demolished Nuraminis-Serramanna overpass, it was an ordeal to walk along the modest municipal streets of Nuraminis, subject two weeks ago to a mayoral ordinance closing to non-local traffic, in search of the way to the 131.
