Triathlon at Poetto, traffic jam: Lungosaline closed, endless queues

It was a nightmare Sunday for the residents of Cagliari , who, taking advantage of the slight drop in the mistral wind, decided to spend a few hours at Poetto Beach. The Municipality of Cagliari authorized a sporting event , which resulted in the closure of the Lungosaline from the Marina Piccola roundabout .

Diverted onto internal roads, traffic ended in chaos . Dozens of local police officers were mobilized, but it was of little use.

The event, the Cagliari City Triathlon , had its headquarters at the Air Force beach resort.

These events have already had a significant impact on traffic in the past. However, they continue to ignore Molentargius Park , an ideal setting for these types of events, which would not impact traffic or road safety. Another missed opportunity.
