The tragedy in Sassari was touched upon in Piazza Puccini, in the large popular Latte Dolce district. In the early morning a large tree collapsed and crushed a car parked in the clearing. Unfortunately it went well, since Piazza Puccini is always very busy even at those hours, especially by elderly people and children. Nobody, but just by chance, got hurt.
It is the second fall of trees in the square in a few months. The problem has been repeatedly reported by the Latte Dolce and Santa Maria di Pisa district committee. "On numerous occasions we have urged the municipal administration to prune these large shrubs - explains Gianluigi Onida, a member of the committee - But we have always been told that the competence lies with the Area, ie the company that manages public housing. The fact is that the trees keep falling and nobody does anything. I hope something even more serious doesn't have to happen for something to be done. " In the meantime, the firefighters and the urban police have arrived on the scene.
