On the evening of 6 December last year, the Cri Cri motorboat, owned by an entrepreneur from Campania, was returning from a fishing trip in the Costa Smeralda.

The powerful Fisherman was sailing through the sea very quickly, when the bow hit the outcropping rocks of the Isola delle Bisce , in the La Maddalena archipelago. The motorboat projected onto the cliff, like a lever, the golfer Tommy Di Chello, 38 years old, and the Campanian Giacomo Bot, 56 years old, sport fishing champion.

Both lost their lives. The Tempio Prosecutor's Office has established that there is no criminal responsibility for the tragic shipwreck. The careful investigations conducted by the Coast Guard have ascertained that Giacomo Bot was at the controls of the Fisherman.

On board the Cri Cri there were also Remo Bruno, Neapolitan, son of the owner of the motorboat, and Carlo Nieddu, from Golfo Aranci, both seriously injured. The Tempio Prosecutor's Office has already requested that the investigations be closed.
