The bodies of two fishermen who died during a fishing trip at Isola Rossa have been recovered. They are Pietro Satta , known to all as Lillo, a 48-year-old from Sassari and owner of the restaurant L'Osteria de' mercati, in the historic center of Sassari (and until recently manager of La Ginqueta in Alghero), and a 71-year-old Ligurian, Maurizio Rossi , who had been going on vacation to Trinità D'Agultu for some time, where he had a house.

The two fishermen were trapped in the boat that ran aground on the reef, near the La Marinedda beach. The men of the Porto Torres Coast Guard, the Volunteer Maritime Rescue Corps of Castelsardo, as well as the Areus helicopter rescue and the Drago helicopter of the fire brigade intervened in the area.

According to initial reports, the two friends went out this morning for a fishing trip and due to the weather conditions, the boat capsized and there was no escape for the two. They were rescued by firefighter divers who arrived from the Cagliari headquarters. The alarm was raised by two divers present on the coast.
