The budget of an operation conducted by the Carabinieri del Ros which involved the Provincial Commands of Nuoro, Oristano, Reggio Calabria and the Hunters Hunting Squadron of Sardinia is seven arrests.
The Ros soldiers carried out 7 precautionary custody orders against as many people accused of association aimed at drug trafficking and for numerous episodes of drug dealing and possession.
As part of the operation, 5 kilos of cocaine with a degree of purity of 85% were seized, useful for the realization of over 30 thousand average doses, as well as 500 thousand euros in cash destined for Calabrian suppliers.
The measures were requested by the Cagliari Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism District Attorney.
THE INVESTIGATIONS - The investigations have unmasked a trafficking of large quantities of drugs, mainly cocaine, supplied in Calabria and destined for sale in the provinces of Oristano, Cagliari and South Sardinia.
"The considerable earnings linked to drug trafficking - the investigators know - over time have favored the progressive development of criminal groups dedicated to the sale of drugs, both in various urban centers and in the central areas of the island, which have preferred this sector 'in place of those criminal activities linked to crimes against the person and property that have characterized the actions of Sardinian crime ”.
The gang, rooted in the province of Nuoro and in particular in the regions of Marghine and Planargia, "was divided into several operational components, respectively concerned with the procurement and supply of the narcotic, which was guaranteed by Calabrian subjects linked to the 'Ndrangheta, the distribution of narcotic to wholesale buyers on the island and to the management of a retail network which some Sardinian breeders dealt with ".
Numerous searches were also carried out as part of the operation.
