Cagliari among the most popular destinations for Easter .
For the weekend of 9 April – in the Sardinian capital – the non-hotel sector registers sharply higher numbers compared to the other areas of the island, which bodes well for the sector. The booking occupancy rate is skyrocketing, reaching 50% . In stark contrast are the percentages of Cabras (11%), Arzachena (12%), San Teodoro (15%) and Olbia (18%).
The data, provided by the president of the Extra category association, Maurizio Battelli , are far-sighted and offer a prospectus that also takes into account the coming months , including not only the upcoming Easter holidays but also the " high season " months. Thus the North redeems itself and San Teodoro makes its way onto the podium in July (35%). Cabras (34%), Chia (33%), Alghero (31%) are also defending well. Cagliari drops to 22%, at the bottom of the standings.
In August, the city on the Golfo degli Angeli improves slightly (29%) but the undisputed queen of non-hotel bookings remains San Teodoro , with 51% of preferences. However, the other main destinations in Sardinia record encouraging numbers: parity for Quartu and Dorgali which record the same occupancy rate of bookings (40%), Olbia and Cabras also obtain the same result, with a good 48%.
