The state of agitation of the workers of Tossilo Spa begins on Monday. A very hard dispute, where the workers were left without their December salary and without a thirteenth salary , over thirty families in difficulty.

The money intended to pay the workers and to start up the waste treatment plants in half of Sardinia, according to the complaint of the unions and the mayors of Marghine, the Region would have diverted to Siniscola .

A dramatic situation, which has been going on for several months now, making the dispute worse and putting the entire waste treatment system in difficulty. After Tuesday's meeting, organized by the mayors of Macomer and Borore, the result of the summit to be held in Cagliari on January 20 is now awaited, which will be attended by the regional industry and environment councilors, the commissioner of the consortium industrialist from Macomer, Mario Zacchino and a representation of the Presidency of the Region.

Why the plants have not yet been started , with the waste-to-energy plant built and an investment by the Region of 52 million euros, remains a mystery. The start up had also been requested last October by the Prefect of Nuoro, but nothing happened in December. On the contrary, the situation has worsened, with the non-payment of salaries.

The workers, starting from Monday, can put in place struggles and are ready to block all activities, even in the Monte Muradu landfill, if the Region fails to pay the salaries . On the 23rd, in this regard, in Macomer, the president of Tossilo Spa, Antonio Delitala, summoned the unions.
