They were in the garage of their house in the center of Torpè and they were preparing some cheese and ricotta .

Inside the small room, perhaps without ventilation, the stove used to heat the milk soon saturated the room with carbon monoxide . In an instant a farmer and his (non-Sardinian) brother-in-law, both 45 years old, fell ill and since yesterday they have been hospitalized in the hyperbaric medicine center of Cagliari for severe carbon monoxide poisoning .

The accident late Tuesday evening. The brother-in-law (immediately the most serious) was transferred with the 118 ambulance first to Olbia and then by helicopter to Cagliari.

The owner of the restaurant - from Torpè - first refused hospitalization and returned home . He fell ill late in the evening and was also transferred to the center of Viale Poetto. They were both treated with hyperbaric oxygen and are now out of danger. They will still remain in the center of the Marino hospital.
