The Carabinieri of the Gonnesa station have reported a 31-year-old unemployed man living in Iglesias, already known to the police, believed to be responsible for the crime of animal abandonment.

During a patrol, the military, suspicious of constant barking coming from a farmhouse , carried out a check, ascertaining the presence of three abandoned dogs, without microchips and left exposed to the elements and dangers.

The veterinarian from the competent ASL then intervened on site, who arranged for the animals to be immediately transferred to the municipal kennel in Carbonia , where they were taken in and made safe.

The responsible owner has instead filed a report with the judicial authorities for appropriate action.
