Fifty-eight foreign citizens residing in the province of Oristano were reported by the police following checks on citizenship income and citizenship pension recipients.

The investigation started from the findings made by the Immigration Office on the anomalies contained in the income documents provided by some people requesting a residence permit, then INPS was asked for data and information on the perception of the Citizenship Income by the foreigners residing in the province.

The Flying Squad carried out the activities of competence through which the State Police - after several months - ascertained that 58 foreigners were lacking - at the moment in which they had applied - of the necessary documents to obtain the subsidy. Among these, the lack of a long-term residence permit; the absence of a residence card for family members of EU citizens and of residence on the national territory for at least 10 years.

In some cases, it emerged, foreign citizens sent money unduly received to their countries of origin through the Money Transfer system.
