Theft in a bar in Sant'Antioco: the thieves forget the beer

Burglary against a bar, last night, in the square of the basilica of Sant'Antioco .

Unknown persons entered the business after breaking a glass and forcing open the gratings of a window located next to the "Janas Caffè", which overlooks via Regina Margherita. To realize what happened, the owner, Greca Scano, alerted by some neighbors who would have raised the alarm. The thieves appropriated the cash fund and the tips placed inside an elephant-shaped ornament which was taken away together with the money.

The Carabinieri of Sant'Antioco carried out the findings on the spot and started the investigation to trace the perpetrators of the act who, by breaking the glass, would also have injured themselves. This can be deduced from some traces of blood in the room. In addition to the money and a stereo, for a total value of around five hundred euros, the thieves had already prepared a few bottles of beer to take away which they then forgot on the floor of the bar.
