The Vivicittà race returns to Cagliari on Sunday: closures and traffic changes.

The Vivicittà event returns to Cagliari on Sunday, April 12th. This ten-kilometer running race will take place primarily in the Villanova neighborhood. To accommodate the event, the City Council has implemented a series of traffic and parking restrictions.
In particular, on Sunday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, traffic will be banned (including public transport) on several streets in the city center, including Via XXIV Maggio, Via San Domenico, Via San Giacomo, Via Sulis, Via Garibaldi, Via Iglesias, Piazza Gramsci, Via San Lucifero, Via Paoli, Via Tola, Via Settembrini, and Via Bosa, as well as Piazza Gramsci and Piazza Repubblica. Restrictions will also be in place on sections of Via Dante.
A temporary ban on the passage of athletes is also in place, from 9.30 am to 11 am, at the intersections between Via Bacaredda and Piazza Garibaldi, between Via Eleonora D'Arborea and Via Iglesias, between Via Sonnino and Via San Lucifero, and between Via Farina and Via Dante.
Regarding parking , from 6pm on Saturday to midday on Sunday, a parking ban with forced removal will be in effect in via XXIV Maggio, via San Domenico, via San Giacomo, via Sulis, via Iglesias, piazza Gramsci, via San Lucifero (in the section between via Dante and via Sonnino), via Paoli, via Tola and via Settembrini.
Traffic changes and diversions are also planned for Sunday, from 8 a.m. to noon . These include a one-way system on Via San Giovanni (towards Via Giardini), mandatory turns on Via De Gioannis and Piazza Repubblica (specific exceptions are planned for public transport).
The Municipality of Cagliari invites "citizens to pay maximum attention to temporary signs, to plan their travel in advance and, if possible, to use alternative routes or public transport not affected by the restrictions".
