Still scams committed, against Sardinian citizens, by criminals active on the web.

On 11 January the carabinieri of the Siurgus Donigala station, at the end of an investigation resulting from the complaint of a 40-year-old local, denounced a 63-year-old from Rome on the loose. The man had proposed the online sale on a website of an Iphone 11 smartphone that the 40-year-old from Siurgus Donigala had bought, on 29 July last, paying 600 euros in cash, but without then receiving the electronic device.

A 58-year-old worker from Villacidro was also a victim of online fraud: this time the investigations by the carabinieri led to the complaint of two 39-year-olds, a man and a woman, both from Naples. The two, in competition with each other, had posted an announcement for the sale of a boat engine on an online site; attracted the interest of the 58-year-old to complete the purchase, they had invited him to make a transfer of 250 euros to a current account in their name, without ever sending the promised engine and extinguishing, immediately after the verification, the current account on which the victim had made the credit.
