The Region , the Metropolitan City and the municipalities involved, as well as the Fondazione di Sardegna , contributed to the initiative.
The Cagliari stage
The event, which will open in Cagliari over two days , will immediately focus on various art forms, environmental education, and human rights. Today's event kicks off at 6:00 PM in the green oasis on Viale Sant'Ignazio da Laconi with the free " Rights Hunt " workshop, introducing younger children to the Charter of Children's Rights through games, drawings, and readings inspired by " The Island of the Forgetful ," thanks to the collaboration with UNICEF volunteers . This will be followed by the Abaco production, written and directed by Carla Orrù : " Sardinian Fiabe ," a journey through the myths and legends of Sardinian folklore, featuring nursery rhymes, songs in the language, and engaging young audiences, with Francesca Cabiddu and the director herself on stage.
Friday opens with the photography exhibition " Seeds of Hope ," promoted by Operazione Africa Odv to document humanitarian interventions and projects carried out in the Congo, devastated by war and poverty , helping the local population with new drinking water sources, schools, and further paths to social inclusion. At 7 p.m. , a new encounter with the performing arts takes place in the show " Ottavio Bottecchia – Vite in volata ." Written and performed by Tiziano Polese , and featuring the participation and direction of Rosalba Piras —plus voiceover by Antonio Luciano —the play recounts the life of the eponymous cyclist, a celebrated cyclist, retracing both his successes on the track and the conflicts of the twentieth century , of which Bottecchia was both a spectator and a victim, like many of his contemporaries.
