The People of Saccargia will be back in the streets by the summer: «Maybe in Barumini»
A permanent mobilization, initiatives not excluded on June 25th, when the Regional Council will begin to discuss the moratoriumPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The aftermath of Saccargia has already begun. And the committees scattered across the island will soon meet to decide how to raise the level of the protest. The road taken is the same as Pratobello: on Saturday he repeated it, with all Barbagia pride, at the foot of the Basilica of the Holy Trinity, who - like Francesca Succu, 85 years old, from Orgosolo -, faced with the arrogance of the State, wrote precisely in Pratobello history. "Later we managed to change the rules of the Gennargentu park, withdrawing a project that was completely unpopular with the population," said Succu. “We will also prevent the energy assault.”
The meeting
The regional coordination of the committees will soon take stock of the situation and will meet to decide on new forms of protest, even if the mobilization is now permanent. It is almost certain that another demonstration could be organized by the end of September: «Perhaps in another symbolic place in Sardinia, now under fire from the energy multinationals», announces Luigi Pisci, spokesperson for the Committees against wind energy . «I'm thinking, for example, of Barumini or other locations based on accessibility and collaboration from local administrations».
The crucial date
Now, however, the maximum level of attention is on the Regional Council, which will have to approve the rule on moratoriums. The date of Tuesday 25 June is circled in red on the calendar, when the meeting chaired by Piero Comandini will begin the discussion.
The platform
The committees complain about the fact that all of the over 800 overall connection requests between photovoltaic, onshore and offshore wind power for almost 58 Gw of total power remain standing. And nothing will be able to be done on the projects already authorized and those that will be authorized between now and the publication of the guidelines, other than seeking a discussion with the Government to analyze them one by one. Furthermore, on the Tyrrhenian link, there was no position taken.
