Backpack on her shoulders, tablet under her arm and hands holding the red stroller with her little one. Every morning around 8, Alexia Marongiu, 26, gets off the Arst bus at the stop on Via Nazionale in Decimomannu headed for Via Ugo Foscolo, the "Enrico Mattei" high school. At 8:20, when the entrance bell rings, mother and son go to sit behind a desk in the fifth grade class, section E.

Alexia lives in San Sperate with her partner, her two daughters and Giacomo, who arrived on April 18, only one month old. A few days after his birth , the little boy of the house received the "de facto honor" as the youngest student in the school.

Alexia was just 16 when she gave birth to her first child and after a year, when she was in her third year of high school, she put her school career on hold .

In 2022, the second baby girl was born: «When she turned one, in September 2023, I enrolled in school again». Promoted to the fifth grade, she became pregnant with Giacomo. «The choice to resume my studies – she says – was dictated by my desire for redemption».
