The prestigious food and wine magazine " Vino da bere " has published the guide of the best Monica of Sardinia .

At the top of the ranking with a score of 98/100 was the Duca di Mandas (vintage 2021) from the Cantina Trexenta di Senorbì . With these words the precious guide (a point of reference in the world of oenology) described Monica from Trexente: «Elegant and intense spicy sensations are combined with notes of ripe red fruit and Mediterranean scrub. Vinous and intense mouth in which sapidity, freshness, velvety tannins and puffs of boisé are balanced that accompany us in the very long finish. Excellent quality-price relation. Our standing ovation is inevitable."

There is great satisfaction for the Trexenta wine cooperative which, thanks to innovative cultivation practices, has been carrying out an ambitious project for several years which aims to improve the quality of the products with a view to conquering the most prestigious new markets. Its wines are highly appreciated not only in Italy but also abroad.

The countries in which they are currently marketed are France, Spain, England, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Holland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the United States, Japan, Canada and China.

The award to the Duke of Mandas is a recognition of the entire territory.

«Last year Gambero Rosso had decreed the Granduca di Mandas of the Garau dairy as the best cheese in Sardinia - recalls the mayor of Mandas Umberto Oppus -, but now the wine produced by our winemakers has been celebrated: it is right to congratulate the president of the Cantina Trexenta Angelo Carta, to all managers, employees and suppliers».
