«From next Monday, March 4, the Barony will be even more isolated».

The complaint is from the secretary of the Fit Cisl of Nuoro, Luigi Sedda , with reference to the " cancellation, after thirty years", of the direct connection between Sassari and Nuoro, managed by the Arst.

«At the request of the almost former regional transport councilor, Antonio Moro - writes Sedda in a note -, from Monday the transport company will modify the service that concerns Baronia, Marghine, Nuorese. The direct Sassari-Nuoro connection, with departure at 9.30 and arrival at 11.15, has so far allowed passengers to take connections for Siniscola, Olbia and the entire Baronia. From March 4, however - the secretary underlines - the Arst vehicle will arrive in Nuoro shortly before midday, after having passed through Bonnanaro, Torralba, Macomer, thus effectively losing all connections with other means. We remember, to complete the confusing picture wanted by councilor Moro, that there are already two Arst buses that in the morning, at 10 and 11.45, leave from Sassari and reach Macomer, so there is, in fact, a an absolutely unjustified excess and certainly wasteful for the public coffers".

It is not the only change that will take effect from next Monday, adds the Fit Cisl note: « Paradoxically, in the afternoon, starting from 4pm, a direct connection is planned from Nuoro to Sassari, without any intermediate stops in the centers of Marghine».

Sedda speaks of "unreasonable" changes and asks that "this wicked decision be revoked, which penalizes the Barony and Barbagia and can only lead to further depopulation of the internal areas . We appeal to the mayors of the municipalities concerned to rebel forcefully and make their voices heard." «We also believe – concludes the secretary – that a modification with such a significant impact must be suspended immediately and reviewed by the new regional transport councilor, when the new executive, led by Alessandra Todde, will be installed and in full swing functions".
