With the national congress coming up from November 29th to December 1st, the ACLI of Sardinia are opening a reflection on their role, renewing their commitment to fundamental issues and aiming for a single, great goal: peace. This is the central message of the congress track, underway in Cagliari, which not only takes stock of the activities of recent years, but reaffirms the association's desire to be the spokesperson of a civil mobilization in Italy and Europe.

In the words of the outgoing president of Acli Sardegna, Mauro Carta, the invitation to "send a message to all populations living in conflict situations" resonates strongly. Acli intend to build paths towards a "just and safe peace", embracing a cultural and political commitment that passes through education and community participation. This objective is realized in service activities, social projects and mobilizations that range from support for migrants, to the fight against inequalities and gender discrimination, to the defense of the Constitution.

The work of ACLI has already distinguished itself in recent years for its support to people fleeing conflicts, in particular Ukrainian refugees arriving in Sardinia.
"We have organized many initiatives to convey the message of peace," Carta emphasizes, recalling the commitment of ACLI in offering concrete help and opportunities for integration.
This "choice of peace" is also an invitation to the international community and to Europe: to actively take action to stop conflicts and cultivate a more united and supportive world.
