We need urgent and intelligent measures, before it's too late!

This is the heartfelt appeal launched on Facebook by Tessa Gelisio , worried about the new invasion of grasshoppers in central Sardinia, an event that is devastating – as in past years – land, cultivated fields and farms.

« In my beloved Sardinia there is a locust alarm again! From pastures to cultivated fields, from vegetable gardens to barns, the plain of Ottana, in the center of the island, is once again under siege and as many as 100,000 hectares could be affected this year by the dramatic invasion of voracious insects. post by the TV presenter, born in Alghero in 1977, who has always been an environmental activist.

« A cyclical and recurring nightmare – adds Gelisio -, which evidently the institutions are unable to foresee (is it so difficult after such a drought?!) nor to contain . And it is the farmers who pay the price, already brought to their knees by the economic crisis and environmental disasters».

Hence the appeal to the institutions to do more and quickly.
