The Tempio Municipal Council approved a policy document (14 votes in favor, three abstentions) that paves the way for an anti-speculation variant of the Puc (already adopted).

In essence, Mayor Gianna Masu and her majority, as widely announced, are attempting a "pilot" operation to introduce measures into the Puc (Construction Plan) aimed at containing and countering unconventional and unshared wind farm and photovoltaic projects.

Gianna Masu stated her council's goal: to prevent interventions that override the planning authority of the Municipality and the Region, damaging the environment, landscape, and identity of Tempio. Opposition councilors, particularly Anna Paola Aisoni and Andrea Biancareddu, expressed concerns about the technical feasibility of the measures and the appropriateness of reopening the process of a laboriously approved and adopted Urban Planning Scheme (PUC). There was also talk of a 5 percent increase in the Tari (waste tax), the "eviction" of the Alta Gallura Civil Protection Department, Tempio's withdrawal from the Union of Municipalities, and the inclusion of the Gallura town's industrial zone in Olbia's CIPNES (Central Urban Development Plan). Mayor Gianna Masu reiterated her determination to focus on the Province of Northeast Italy (Tempio is the capital) as the focal point for strategic actions and EU planning.
