Telephone scams in Olbia: the number of the barracks appears on the victims' cell phones

Scam alert in Olbia. Many have suffered deception attempts by people posing as policemen.

According to the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Olbia, the scammers telephoned the victims, managing to make the number of the barracks appear on their mobile phones and asking for confidential information on their bank accounts.

"Citizens are invited to be wary in all circumstances of those who ask for personal information on the telephone, to never provide data to strangers and to immediately contact the emergency number 112 in the event of suspicious messages or phone calls", is the appeal of the Carabinieri.
