Syringes emerging from the sand of the Balai beach, abandoned on the viewpoint and along the lawn of the park of the same name, on the coast of Porto Torres. On sunny days the beach is still frequented by sea enthusiasts, but evidently in the evening it has become a meeting place for drug addicts and uncivilized people who dirty and make the area, everyone's heritage, dangerous.

The used syringes were abandoned on the beach, but also on the viewpoint, favorite places for walkers. The phenomenon of syringes thrown on the ground seems to have returned, as they have also been found in some streets of the city. Spaces "contaminated" by those who do not hesitate to inject doses of narcotic substances in the middle of green areas or on sidewalks.

They have been immortalized by some indignant citizens who are calling for an urgent clean-up. "The area must be cleaned up immediately to restore dignity to these spaces frequented by children", complain passers-by, "and since it is a beach, the syringes represent a serious danger for everyone".
