Twenty kilos of waste collected on the Girasole beach and in the pine forest opposite.

It is the "booty" of the volunteers who took part in the fourth edition of "Clean Up the Sea", the environmental education day promoted by the Il Triangolo Association with the contribution of the Sardinia Foundation.

" Plastic was once again the protagonist this year and, like every year, both at sea and on land, it is the material that has the most negative impact on the environment", explain the organizers.

«Not only – they add – the classic bottles, glasses, cutlery and dishes though. To be collected by over 30 young people from all areas of Sardinia, including cigarette butts, cans, glass, metal pieces, nets, beach chairs . In short, despite the awareness that associations and institutions carry out every year towards residents and tourists, the problem remains, with the bad habits of those who abandon any type of material on the beach. After cleaning the pine forest and the beach, the boys also cleaned up the stretch of sea in front of the Girasole beach. Also on this occasion, plastic was unfortunately the unwanted protagonist of our sea".
