Storms arriving in Sardinia, civil protection alert
The affected area of the island is the north-western one
Bad weather returns to Sardinia , which could be hit by thunderstorms in the next few hours, especially in the north-western area .
The regional Civil Protection has issued a yellow alert , due to hydrogeological risk, valid from 12pm tomorrow, 9 November, until midnight. The areas affected by the ordinary criticality notice are those of Montevecchio Pischinappiu, Tirso and Logudoro.
The precautions to take in case of storms have also been released, and therefore to stay in your homes and to go up to the upper floors if you are in basement rooms or on the ground floor. Furthermore, it is preferable to avoid car transfers. It is forbidden to cross flooded streams, on foot or by any means, to stop near bridges and banks of rivers and streams and to cross underpasses.
