Attack during the night in Domusnovas against an entrepreneur, former councilor and former municipal councilor: a car, a Panda later found to be stolen, was set on fire in front of the house of Attilio Melis.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. on Via Garibaldi. The home's security cameras captured the movements of two men who, after parking their vehicle, set fire to it and then fled.

A similar episode, on the same street, had occurred in 2024, when unknown persons had burned the car of Melis' daughter: the flames had also licked the vehicle of the mayor Massimiliano Ventura, who had parked nearby only by chance.

"We live in terror," Melis' family now says, where they are convinced that there may be a connection between the two episodes, even if they are not certain about the motive.

The fire of last night was extinguished by the firefighters. The carabinieri of the Iglesias company are investigating the incident , with the military of the town station.
