Continuous landings in Sardinia. Between yesterday and today, 84 migrants have landed on the coasts of the island.

The first two small boats, with 20 people on board in total, were intercepted yesterday morning by the patrol boats of the Air and Naval Operations Department of the Guardia di Finanza. In the evening another small boat with nine people on board landed in Sant'Antioco.

Then the landings this morning. The first at 6.30 along the beach of Porto pino in the territory of Sant'Anna Arresi, where a small boat arrived with 4 migrants on board, all tracked down by the carabinieri. Another 19 were blocked by the Arma soldiers in the same area at 7:30 am. Small boats recovered and seized in both cases.

Also at 7.30 another landing on the Portopaglietto beach in Portoscuso, 21 migrants, also intercepted by the carabinieri. Later still other landings with an additional 11 people.

All migrants, men in good health conditions of Algerian and Tunisian nationality, were transferred to the first reception center in Monastir where, after medical examinations and identification, they will remain in quarantine.
