The need to dispose of the holidays of the staff of the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro led to the closure of some departments, creating an extremely difficult situation for the employees who remained in service and - also and above all - for the users .

But now we are moving towards a progressive normalization . In fact, the general manager of Nuoro ASL explains, Paolo Cannas : "The company management has already initiated the necessary interlocutions to ensure, in the short term, the resumption of all those operating units in distress for which a reduction was necessary. of the activities, due to the disposal of staff holidays. There will be no other feared closures - assures Cannas -, such as that of the Neonatal intensive care which has never interrupted its precious activity, nor are there any reductions or closures in other operating units " .

The dg then announced that next Wednesday there will be a meeting between the top of the ASL, the mayor Andrea Soddu and some regional councilors with on the agenda a useful project to strengthen the beds of the RSA in the Nuorese.

"We need to create at least 105 beds - anticipates Cannas - which will allow us to follow the elderly population of the area which, alternatively, is hospitalized in the wards of Medicine and Geriatrics, often improperly".
