Arrested on charges of threatening and abusing family members or cohabitants. Yesterday morning, Thursday 10 April, the Carabinieri of the Porto Torres radiomobile company arrested a man in the town of Sorso, believed to be responsible for abusing his mother.
The military executed an order issued by the Sassari supervisory magistrate who ordered the replacement of the alternative measure of probation with prison.
A measure taken following investigations conducted by the Carabinieri who had ascertained that the young man, on March 28, while he was inside his mother's home, had threatened her for trivial reasons, during a fit of rage, brandishing a kitchen knife and thus causing the woman a serious state of anxiety and fear for her safety. The young man awaiting trial is locked up in the Bancali prison.
