Sorso is preparing to toast with Calici di Stelle 2024

The city of Sorso is preparing to toast with Calici di Stelle 2024 , the traditional summer event inspired this year by "young people, music and good wine".

In the conference room of the Baronial Palace, the mayor Fabrizio Demelas and the councilor for Tourism, Culture and Productive Activities Federico Basciu, presented the 2024 edition of Calici di Stelle. A calendar full of events and which starting from 19th July will offer numerous events leading up to the key evening, 10th August.

We will start with the now traditional "Waiting for Calici di Stelle" event, a series of events from 19 July to 9 August, organized by the municipal administration, in collaboration with local wineries, with local production activities and with cultural associations engaged in the field of music and entertainment. This edition will open with two evenings of "Calici in Cantina", guests of Tenute Dettori (19 July at 8pm), and of the Cantina Nuraghe Crabioni (26 July at 8pm).

A journey in two of the most renowned wineries in the area, among the places of wine and the vineyards overlooking the sea and the spectacular sunsets of the Gulf of Asinara, to discover authentic flavors and typical food and wine products. On Saturday 10 August, at 8pm, the event gets to the heart of the event with the usual inaugural toast in the courtyard of the Baronial Palace, in which the mayor, the council, the civil, religious and military authorities and the associations will take part. Accompanying this moment are the voices of the Santa Croce Polyphonic Choir and the Sorso Folkloric Association.

The courtyard of the Baronial Palace will also host the “Impronte di donna” fashion show, coordinated by the stylist Antonella Fini. After the inaugural toast, the event will begin, which will open with the performance of the choirs from the square of the church of Santa Croce, in via Cappuccini, with the extraordinary participation of the Tenores di Bitti. The show will then begin with music and artists in different points of the city: Piazzale della Stazione, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Palazzo Baronale, Piazza Cavour, Via Marconi, Piazza Sant'Agostino, Piazza Bonfigli, Viale Umberto, Piazza San Pantaleo.

The city center - embellished with installations created by children and the staff of the municipal library and by the presence of many hobbyist stands exhibiting artistic and intellectual works - will also be an exceptional stage for the "Stars of Ink" and “Saman” fire theater, by the Shedan Theater Company, at the “Neon Bubbles Show” (curated by Irina Kizlo), at the Th White parade, and at the final fireworks show, in Piazza San Pantaleo. The stands of the six wineries protagonists of this edition will be positioned along the route. With the tasting booklet you will be able to taste the wines of Corona Ruja, Tenute Antonio Carta, Cantina Sorso Sennori, Cantina Nuraghe Crabioni, Tenute Dettori and the Schintu winery. There will also be numerous food stands offering local dishes and products.
