There is still controversy over the parking lots in Solanas. This time the problem is linked to the flooding of the area where the paid parking spaces are planned in the "Cratzieranu" area. The rains have submerged the area, with the minority councilors Walter Zucca and Roberto Loi, who have signed a statement.

For Zucca, Environmental Engineer, "a prolonged rain was enough to transform these parking lots into a pond. In our opinion, this is not an area suitable for hosting paid parking spaces. For this reason, we ask for urgent solutions to mitigate the hydraulic risk that is certainly realistic. Just look at what happened on Sunday."

Roberto Loi of "Uniti per Sinnai" asks the Council «to review its decisions: the risk is strong as is the danger of having to pay damages every time the area becomes a lake: we also urge the installation of adequate signage to inform of the hydraulic risk and the behaviors to follow in the event of a flood».

In a note, the minority groups Forza Italia and Uniti per Sinnai announce the upcoming convocation of an open Council: "Certain decisions," they wrote in their document, "cannot be imposed from above. The people of Sinnai, especially the owners of second homes and the residents of Solanas, have the right to be informed about the news regarding the upcoming summer season, which promises to be very expensive."

The councilor for traffic, Cristiano Spina, intervenes for the majority: «I remind you that we are not carrying out new works. It was simply decided to transform the parking from free to paid, only tracing the new spaces without carrying out any impactful intervention. We want to bring order to a problem that is not new today. In short, we are not modifying the site. At the same time, we are also studying the possibility of identifying new areas to be used for parking. This is why we cannot agree with these accusations».
