The peaks of Gennargentu, in the Nuoro area, and Limbara, in Gallura, are still snow-capped. Temperatures remain frigid, not just in inland Sardinia, but also in the south, just a few kilometers from Cagliari, where temperatures in the countryside can reach 0.6 degrees Celsius.
Over the weekend, however, the situation should improve as the Scandinavian cyclone moves toward Eastern Europe: lows will tend to rise slightly while highs will remain more or less stable. However, further deterioration is expected next week: heavy rains are not ruled out.
Meanwhile, this morning too, low temperatures were recorded - according to the readings of the Sardegna Clima weather stations - especially in the Nuoro area .
In Fonni, below the slopes of Gennargentu, the minimum temperature reached -5.2 degrees, in Samugheo, in the Oristano area, -2.5 degrees, and on Mount Limbara (Vallicciola, in the Gallura region) -1.1 degrees. Also below zero were Sadali (Nuoro), Dorgali (Nuoro) -0.4 degrees, Buddusò (Sassari) -0.4 degrees, and Ovodda (Nuoro) at -0.3 degrees.
Freezing temperatures also hit Iglesias, with temperatures dropping to 0.5 degrees, and San Sperate and Uta, near Cagliari, with temperatures dropping to 0.6 degrees.
