To discover the theft were the technicians of the company operating the plant who immediately proceeded to present a formal complaint to the carabinieri of Siniscola .
Although the operation of the sewage lifting system, which is essential for re-launching the wastewater towards the purifier, has not been compromised, the damage is still considerable .
"The quantification is in progress - explained Abbanoa - but a first estimate is of the order of several tens of thousands of euros . The stolen infrastructures are essential for the safety of the plant, guaranteeing protection from accidental falls into the treatment tanks".
