Elegant for the occasion, smiling and proud to celebrate with his relatives but also with the municipal administrators.

This morning , Simaxis celebrated Efisio Flore's 100th birthday . The centenarian was visited at his home by Mayor Giacomo Obinu and the city councilor for Culture and Public Education, Chiara Atzori, who presented him with a plaque conveying the town's best wishes.

Born on September 2, 1925, in Solarussa, Efisio Flore, a life spent working in the fields, has lived in Simaxis since he was 12. Despite his age, the newly centenarian enjoys good health and is always cheerful and witty. But above all, he loves to remember times gone by: the war, everything that changed after the fighting, and the many anecdotes of his life.

It's an honor for the administrators to celebrate a centenary that tells the story of an important part of the country.
