He approached the home of a thirty-year-old in Settimo San Pietro and set fire to the front door. He escaped but without going very far: he felt ill, perhaps because he was intoxicated by the smoke from the fire. It was the Sinnai police who gave him first aid, alerting 118: the man, a 55-year-old from Cagliari, was taken to hospital for checks. Obviously he was identified and reported.

The reasons for the gesture that occurred in the night between yesterday and today are still to be understood. The military was alerted to the presence of a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses who was wandering during the night. This is why they reached the area. Immediately after the fire (which caused minor damage) they tracked down the 55-year-old who was not well.

The flames were quickly put out and the police are now investigating to understand whether it was an act of intimidation, revenge or vandalism.
